Fire Station No.3

This project consists of a fire station to serve the 82nd Airborne Division area, the new Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) and family housing areas in the main cantonment area of Fort Bragg. This fire station is a one-company satellite that will house 3 trucks and 6 firefighters. The fire station contains a kitchen, sleeping area, administration area, storage area, day room, training room, and laundry for the firefighters who serve 24 hr shifts. Supporting facilities include electrical, heating/AC, basic landscaping and site development, information systems, security/scan system for AT/FP, and an area for fire truck basic maintenance and cleaning. Access for the handicapped will be provided in the administrative wing of the building. Knight Architects worked on this project including a design charrette, 100% design construction documents and construction administration.
